“   Celebrate the New Year holidays at Arctic Hotel «Whale Coast» ”

Arctic Hotel "Whale Coast" is located beyond the Arctic Circle on the shore of the Barents Sea. In ancient times this land was known as Hyperborea and was wrapped in countless legends.

True Sami shamans still live here, preserving the customs and rituals of their Hyperborean ancestors.
For Christmas, we have invited them to the Arctic Hotel to begin 2026 together.
The incredible beauty of the far North, exceptional comfort, a snowmobile safari through the taiga, a bathhouse at the water’s edge, and the delicacies of Arctic cuisine will complete an experience that will warm you throughout the year to come.

Tour Schedule

Christmas Program

  • After meeting at Murmansk airport or in the city center, we travel by Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibuses along the Kola highway towards Norway. After crossing the Titovka River, we switch to Toyota Land Cruiser 105 and Toyota Hilux off-road vehicles and comfortably drive across the snowy tundra to reach Whale Coast.

  • After check-in — rest, introduction to the Arctic Hotel and its surroundings. Those who wish can rejuvenate in the cedar bathhouse located right on the shore of the non-freezing Barents Sea.

  • Please note: Due to weather conditions, the road from the Titovka River to the Arctic Hotel may be closed. In this case, you will spend the night comfortably in another hotel and continue to Whale Coast the following day.
Advance sign-up is required for each activity. Registration opens before arrival at the Arctic Hotel and continues on-site. During the New Year tour, each guest may take part in every activity once.
Snowmobile Ride

The Sredny and Rybachy Peninsulas stretch dozens of kilometers into the Barents Sea. This is a world of breathtaking Arctic landscapes and salty winds. Here you can speed up across the tundra, then stop to breathe in the sea air and take photos. Highlights of the Sredny Peninsula include the famous seids (natural rock formations once revered by the Sami as sacred) Two Brothers and the Red Stones Coast. The culmination of the Rybachy route is a visit to Cape Nemetsky and Cape Kekursky. Cape Nemetsky is the northernmost point of mainland European Russia, while at the 100-meter cliffs of Cape Kekursky you feel the full power of the endless northern waters.

As part of the adventure, you visit one of the peninsulas of your choice. We use BRP Lynx Ranger 59 Ace snowmobiles, with one instructor per 5 vehicles. Waterproof and windproof overalls are provided. Lunch boxes are taken along.
Meeting with the Shaman

On the grounds of the Arctic Hotel stands a chum — the traditional dwelling of the nomadic peoples of the North. The floor is covered with hides and warm blankets, and a fire burns in the center. The shaman welcomes you at the entrance, invites you to sit on wooden stumps, and treats you to hot herbal tea. He introduces you to ancient Sami traditions, tells legends, and performs magical rituals that bring peace and strength. You feel a connection with the surrounding nature, the spirits of the North, and — most importantly — the source of life within yourself.
Rune-Making Workshop

The workshop takes place in the info center or the bathhouse. The shaman and shamaness explain the history and meaning of runes — the "letters" of the ancient alphabet used in Northern Europe — and how they were combined into magical stave inscriptions. You craft your own protective rune, charge it with the energy of the four elements, and listen to mesmerizing stories about shamanic prophecies that came true.
Protective Doll Workshop

The workshop takes place in the info center or the bathhouse. The shamaness introduces you to the history of protective dolls — handmade helpers that have for centuries fulfilled many functions: guarding the home from evil spirits, enhancing comfort, and granting wishes. You create your own protective doll with the "specialization" you need and activate it through an ancient ritual.
Guests spend the first half of the day at leisure.
Christmas Banquet
16:30 - 21:00
At 16:30 the festive banquet begins. Sami shamans perform mesmerizing rituals of purification and empowerment. You will witness ancient melodies, magical dances, and northern legends, filled with sacred meaning and offering a sense of true renewal.
21:00 - 00:00
At 21:00 the shamans give way to a show program, including a cover band concert, a fiery DJ set, and sparkling performances by hosts. Between dancing and fun, don’t forget to savor Arctic cuisine dishes prepared by our chef.
00:00
At midnight — a grand fireworks display, after which the celebration continues.
Advance sign-up is required for each activity. Registration opens before arrival at the Arctic Hotel and continues on-site. During the New Year tour, each guest may take part in every activity once.

The Arctic reboot is complete. After breakfast, we say goodbye to the wild North and return to civilization: first by Toyota Land Cruiser 105 and Toyota Hilux SUVs to the Kola highway, then by Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibuses to Murmansk. We recommend flights to Moscow or St. Petersburg with departure after 18:00.
PLEASE NOTE:
  • The route and the order of activities may vary depending on weather conditions. This is an adventure-format program, and participants will be located in remote, hard-to-reach areas far from civilization.
  • Foreign citizens are required to submit an application and documents (no later than 35 days before arrival)
