Winter on Land

Snowmobile Safari

Season: December — April*
Duration: 6-8 hours
Difficulty: ★★★★☆
Equipment: Fladen wind and waterproof suit
2 persons per vehicle, you can take the wheel
1 instructor for every 5 vehicles
Vehicles: BRP Lynx Ranger 59 Ace snowmobiles
The Sredny and Rybachy peninsulas extend several dozen kilometers into the Barents Sea. This is a world of breathtaking Arctic landscapes and salty winds. It’s perfect for gathering speed and then stopping to breathe in the sea air and take some photos. The main attractions of the Sredny peninsula are the famous seid stones (natural objects once worshipped as sacred by the Sami people) — the Two Brothers and the Shore of Red Stones.
The culmination of the trip to Rybachy is visiting Cape Nemetsky and Cape Kekursky. The gentle Cape Nemetsky is the northernmost point of European Russia, while from the 100-meter height of Cape Kekursky, you’ll especially feel the power of the boundless water expanse.

During this adventure, you’ll visit one peninsula of your choice. We’ll bring food in lunch boxes.

Winter at Sea

Winter Fishing

Season: October — May*
Duration: 4 hours
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Equipment: Fladen wind and waterproof suit
Vessel: "Kegor" — enhanced comfort boat, up to 10 passengers
We sail from Malaya Volokovaya Bay into the open sea. We admire Cape Nemetsky — the northernmost point of European Russia — and the shores of Norway. The Barents Sea is a true fish treasure. Cod, haddock, pollock, flounder, halibut, perch, and dozens of other fish species thrive here.
That’s why during an hour of deep-sea sport fishing (bait is lowered to a depth of about 50 meters, catch is returned to the sea), even those who have never held a fishing rod will get a bite.

YEAR-ROUND LAND ACTIVITIES

Tundra Trekking

Season: Year-round, except during polar night (December — January)*
Duration: 4−8 hours
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Equipment: Dragonfly wind and waterproof suit
1 instructor for every 8 participants
Our goal is to reach the top of the modest yet scenic Musta-Tunturi ridge, which rises 250+ meters above sea level. Its name means "Black Mountain" in Saami, and for good reason — when it rains, the granite outcrops darken dramatically, but under the morning sun, they shine with cheerful brilliance.

The view from Musta-Tunturi is breathtaking: dozens of lakes appear to float in the air from this vantage point.
This is also a site of military glory. During World War II, this was the only spot where German troops were stopped from crossing into Soviet territory.

In warmer seasons, the trail is perfect for picking northern berries like bilberries and cloudberries. You can stop by a lake for a picnic or try fishing.
In winter, Musta-Tunturi is a beautiful place to watch the northern lights.
SEA ACTIVITIES

Crab Safari

Season: May — December*
Duration: 4−5 hours
 Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Equipment: Fladen wind and waterproof suit
Vessel: "Kegor" — enhanced comfort boat, up to 10 passengers
The Kamchatka king crab was introduced to the Barents Sea in the 1960s and has since thrived here. Its shell can reach up to 25 cm wide, and its leg span — up to 1.5 meters.

Crab fishing zones are strictly regulated; the closest one to "Kitovy Bereg" is near Dolgaya Shchel. Once we reach the fishing grounds, we’ll haul up crab traps that were pre-set on the seafloor, pull out the royal catch, and cook it right on board.
This cooking method preserves the crab’s exquisite flavor — sweet and only subtly reminiscent of the sea.

Portion size: one crab per two guests.
Please note: female crabs and juveniles (with shells under 15 cm) must be released back into the sea.

YEAR-ROUND SEA ACTIVITIES

Sea Excursion with Seafood Tasting

Season: Year-round
Duration: 4 hours
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Equipment: Fladen wind and waterproof suit
Vessel: “Kegor” — enhanced comfort boat, up to 10 passengers
We set out from Malaya Volokovaya Bay into open waters. Along the way, we enjoy views of Cape Nemetsky — the northernmost point of mainland Europe — and the shores of Norway.
The day before, we harvest local delicacies — sea urchins, scallops, and mussels — from nearby coves.
Out on the open sea, we prepare and taste them fresh, paired with carefully selected white wine.
An experience you’ll never forget.

Note: in winter, local populations of scallops and urchins drop sharply, so we can’t guarantee fresh catches in the colder months. (We don’t serve imported seafood — that’s our principle.)
SEA ACTIVITIES

Grand Crab Safari

Season: May — December*
Duration: 4−5 hours
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Equipment: Fladen wind and waterproof suit
Vessel: “Kegor” — enhanced comfort boat, up to 10 passengers
The Kamchatka king crab, introduced to the Barents Sea in the 1960s, has adapted well. It grows impressively large — with shells up to 25 cm and legs stretching up to 1.5 meters.

Fishing areas are strictly designated; the nearest one to "Whale Coast" is by Dolgaya Shchel. Once there, we retrieve pre-set traps from the sea floor, harvest our royal catch, and boil it right on board.
This ensures the crab retains its delicate, slightly sweet flavor — unmistakably fresh and wild.

Portion size: one crab per two guests.
What makes the Grand Safari special: each participant receives a personal license allowing them to export up to 5 kg of crab meat. We freeze your catch and hand it over on your departure day.

YEAR-ROUND SEA ACTIVITIES

Floating

Season: Year-round
Duration: 1 hour
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
Equipment: "Bering" hydrothermal suits
Group size from 1 to 15  persons
During this activity, we provide guests with "Bering" hydrothermal suits: these ensure comfort on the water.

Features of the hydrothermal suit:
  • Hermetic waterproof zipper
  • Built-in hood
  • Three-finger mittens
  • Headrest pillow for neck support
This equipment is used by sailors to keep a person on the water’s surface and protect against hypothermia.

In tourism, it’s used for floating: the suits allow you to comfortably "float" on the water’s surface, feeling the power of the Barents Sea, while preventing cold and water from getting inside.

Whale Watching Expedition

Period: April — September*
Duration: 4-5 hours
Difficulty: ★★★☆☆
Equipment provided: Fladen wind and waterproof suit
We depart from Malaya Volokovaya Bay and head into open sea. Several whale species inhabit these waters, but most commonly we spot minke whales (up to 10 meters long), bowhead whales, and sperm whales (up to 20 meters).

Armed with binoculars, we scan the waves for backs, tails, or fins breaking the surface — and if we’re lucky, we’ll approach a single whale or even a pod.
Your first encounter with a whale is unforgettable — an experience that stays in your heart for a lifetime.

Fun fact: researchers identify whales by their tails, which are as unique as human fingerprints.
